As a young boy Jordan Wall watched his father run his own HVAC business, he saw the superb customer service that his father delivered, he learned the intricacies of the industry and the importance of indoor air quality, but most importantly, he took an interest in this career that led him to where he is today.

Ten years ago, Jordan was working in property maintenance but still had the idea of owning his own HVAC company in the back of his mind. Finally, he realized that if he was going to be working on air conditioners anyways, he may as well pursue it full-time.

In 2015 he joined the team at Roland Black Heating and Cooling and hasn’t looked back since. “Roland Black is very family-oriented and it has always been that way. We make sure we look out for the customer and that’s what I like to be a part of. If someone came to my house I’d want them to take care of my family like it was their own, too.”

Jordan has been a valuable asset to the Roland Black team and has helped propel the company forward. “He is not only a very skilled HVAC technician but he’s also a well-respected leader within our company,” said Jerome Trehy, owner of Roland Black Heating and Cooling. “I can think of no one better to lead our south Charlotte market. I am fully confident that he and his team will deliver the same level of service and customer experience that have become synonymous with the Roland Black name.”

As a Market Leader, Jordan will have the support and backing from Roland Black and Griffin Brothers Companies to open his location. “It’s a lot less stressful than going out and starting up my own company where nobody knows that company and there is no support— you’re your own support in that situation,” he said, “but to have the support from Jerome and everyone else is setting up the keys for success.”

It’s not just his own success that he is excited about but also that of the company and his teammates. I’m looking forward to is the ability to grow Roland Black from our Gastonia locations where a lot of the Gaston County and surrounding areas have received that great customer service, and take that with me to the south Charlotte office,” he said. And for anyone who is just getting started in the HVAC industry or is interested in the Market Leader program he says to “learn as much as you can, as fast as you can and soak up as much knowledge as you can. Every piece of information, whether it comes from an experienced technician, mechanic, or owner, is valuable.”

Two years ago Jordan never thought he would be sitting in the position he is in today, but he never stopped chasing after his dream to open his own HVAC company.
