Roland Black Has Been My Go-To Company Mar 18, 2026

I've been in Gastonia for 26 years. Since I came here, Roland Black has been my go-to company for heating and air. Recently I had some subfloor and plumbing issues, and my ductwork was left loose. I called Roland Black to see if they would reconnect it, but after talking to Kellen, he told me I should really replace all of it since it was 26 years old at least or older, and I gave them the go-ahead. The next day, Jacob and Nick came out at 9:30 and worked until around 8:30 that night. I looked outside, and they had removed a mountain of old ductwork, which they took with them, and replaced it with the new. I haven't had that kind of airflow since I moved in. The next day, they sent two more guys to inspect the work, but I can't remember their names, and they have to come back to redo a couple small things that they weren't satisfied with. They did not have to do that, and I would have probably been none the wiser; that is integrity. I watched them grow from a small company into what they are today, and I will use them every time I need someone as long as I'm here. Robin Stone

We had several dealings with Roland Black and their technicians in the past month. Justin Tucker came out to look at the duct boot vents that weren't replaced on a house we just purchased. The previous owner had a new system put in and his installer didn't replace the old vents that were original to the house when built in the 1970s. He checked the system from top to bottom and answered all my questions and explained everything to me and made his recommendation. Jacob and Collin came out a few days later and did the vent replacement for us. Today, Preston Sexton came out and serviced our unit. All these young men are very knowledgeable at their jobs. They all took the time to answer questions and explain what they were doing. They all did a fabulous job. I highly recommend Roland Black Heating and Cooling. Thank you and your technicians for excellent service.

2021 Price quoted was HIGH, but other businesses are higher! The three men that removed and installed new ductwork, replaced coil and placed new vents were on time, worked hard, friendly, polite, and I HOPE are valued company employees. They did an excellent job and should be well compensated. Without quality installers and repairmen, you would not have a business. They deserve a RAISE! I will stay with this company. I hope you continue to have quality installers and repairmen, that also have integrity, like these men! 2024 Justin was very thorough performing the maintenance on my 4 units. He took his time and gave me suggestions. This is a wonderful company! 4/1/25 Justin repaired a disconnected air duct, and also installed a new duct/venting to my dryer. The old one had disintegrated and was blowing lint in my crawl space. He always does an excellent job, and goes above and beyond. I am very pleased with this company!

Andrew and Alvo were great to work with. They are very efficient, informative, and strive to give you all the information that you need to make a decision. I would recommend them above any other HVAC company. They replaced our duct work under the house and put in a new unit. Christy was great to work with and Jacob and Justin worked tirelessly to get the installation done. We had a bad experience with another HVAC company and Roland Black did everything possible to help us get past that experience. Thank you to each one of you!!

Our landscaper accidentally knocked out our power. Jake from Roland Black came onsite, coordinated with Duke Power, and fixed the problem within a few hours. He replaced our electrical meter and conduit running to it. The Roland Black team also fixed our ductwork under our house that had collapsed. Great company!
